My Vintage Kitchen: Espresso Cups

What is it?
Set of 4 Carlo Giannini espresso cups. These are made of plastic and stainless steel. They were made in Italy. A google search reveals that these were made in white, black and red. This site claims that they were seen on Star Trek!
Where did I get it?
I picked these up in a thrift store in Toronto for two dollars each. Given their claim to fame, I think that was a steal!
Do I use it?
I have not used these yet. I do not drink that much espresso and the handle seems like it would be difficult to maneuver. In the kitchen of my dreams these beautifully designed cups will have a place of honour, until then they take up space in my cupboard!

  1. Hi,
Do you know who designed these please? They look amazing.
    Nice buy.

    1. Carlo Giannini. As the post states! ;) Thanks for reading!

  2. Hi Sarah,
Just wondered, as Giannini, whilst owner of the company, did employ other designers.

    1. Oh. It seems you know more about them than I!! I don't have any other info on these cups then is in the post. :)
